Owner and Founder of KIBO Productions, Nelsen Petersen

Nelsen's Bio

Nelsen Petersen founded KIBO Productions in the Fall of 1999 and began providing video coverage of marathon events in 2000. After covering over 55 marathons since, KIBO Productions has gained a favorable reputation among marathon organizers and runners alike.

Along with running, Nelsen's other passion is traveling - and he has the worn and tattered passport to prove it! And, because marathons can be found in virtually every corner of the globe, you shouldn't be surprised to find a "KIBO Crew" at just about any marathon - anywhere.

Nelsen is the host of "Destination: Marathon" and finds that the best part of running is the chance to just hang around with other runners in intersting parts of the world.

Currently, Nelsen is trying to get back into true running form and rekindle the glory days of his youth - he's still about 30 pounds and 2:30/mile away.

Amy Taylor/ Appleton, WI

Amy's Bio
Amy grew up in and continues to live in Wisconsin where "Triathlon" means consuming cheese, brats and beer. She's currently pondering a major at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, which puts her far ahead of most college students who aren't sure why they're there.  She prefers short-distance running (5K and 10K) but hopes to increase her race distance before winter sets in and her only activity will be that great Wisconsin winter pasttime: Shivering.  She often uses colorful phrases like,  "Uff Da!"  An excellent "eye" behind the camera, Amy has been involved in covering the Fox Cities Marathon for KIBO Productions the last four years.

Amy's Q&A
Q: Favorite post-workout food/drink?
A: Usually the first thing I see...and it's rarely something Runner's World recommends.

Q: Song in your head during runs?
A: "Going the Distance" by Cake - I need some inspiration here.

Q: Place you'd love to run a marathon?
A: There would have to be sand, warm air and cute cabana boys.  Again, back to the inspiration thing.

Q: Wild animal you feel like when running?
A: I FEEL like a Cheetah, but from the looks of my finish line photos....Hmmmmm.

Q: PR?   In any "event"
A: 28.36 seconds.    Keg-stand, homecoming, freshman year, UW-Eau Claire.   Uff da, indeed!
